Jj

Being different and coming hard with the verses. I can dig it. I can really respect people who do this sort of thing. Fuck all the haters, let’s see you do it. I honestly have no idea who this band is comprised of or where there from and truly I don’t care. They make hella good music so just let this ride.

SALEM

Witch-House and Drag are new subgenres in the music blogosphere that the group SALEM seems to embody. With erie synth rises and great drum loops this band is able to really capture something within their music. SALEM’s new album is poised to hit the shelves mid september with their single, King Night, already dropped. It is an intense track but nonetheless entertaining to listen to. Strap on those headphones and get ready for a wild ride. I remember the first time I listened to this track I wasn’t sure what to think but it was strangely addicting. I easily played it 20 times over again after hearing it the first time. Check them out online and keep your ears to the ground when their album drops. It’s going to change everything. enjoY!

The XX

Alright, after a long break from not posting, I am back in action with some NEW NEW music for y’all. Sorry about the wait and stay posted for a lot more new music. Anyways, to the good stuff – The XX has dropped there self-titled album and boy is it worth a listen. The vocals are what drew me in to begin with and the instrumentals finished the job. Many bands have intro tracks but nothing compares to The XX’s Intro. It sets the precedent for the album and songs to follow. Give it a listen, it’s worth your time.

The XX – Intro

The XX – Islands

Nurses

Trouble finding a place to fit in, the Nurses have finally hit their mark in Portland, Oregon. The new release Apple Acres is a very interesting take of a type of electronic alternative genre. The only way to describe it is just new and weird. These guys were outcasted from just about every city that they visited and their music reflects just that. The vocals really seal the deal with Nurses as the falsetto contrasts with the tenor sooo well. Give it a listen and be ahead of the curve.

Nurses – Technicolor

Nurses – Caterpillar Playground

Nurses – Lita

The Antlers

So lately I have been on sort of an Indie – Ambient kick looking for anything that is weird and sounds good. While exploring I came across The Antlers and their album Hospice. This record is very very interesting in that the whole thing is a story between two individuals – one being terminally ill with cancer and the other trying to take care of them. The songs are extremely powerful and embody so much emotion it is almost hard to listen to. The Antlers manage to take every song and turn it into a 1st person view of what exactly it means to be in turmoil and work to get over it. Please give this a listen, it is well worth your time.

The Antlers – Kettering
